This is their ninth original studio album, released on September 5, 1989. Original LP number is 292A-50. This album was released in March 1989, following the release of âBalladsâ a best-of album of ballads. The title means âhide and seekâ in English. "You're My Only Shinin' Star" which was released as a single in February 1988 and reached No. 1 on the charts, is included in a newly recorded version with a âPresent from Miho" label, and âVirgin Eyes," the latest single at the time of its release, is included in an edited version. The new version of âYou're My Only Shinin' Starâ was newly recorded the latest single âVirgin Eyesâ was recorded with an edited version, and the original album topped the charts for the first time since âCATCH THE NITEâ released in 1988.
In addition to âVirgin Eyesâ (lyrics by Yumi Yoshimoto) provided by singer/songwriter Anri, the production team included CINDY, Yuji Toriyama, Shingo Kobayashi, Yasuharu Ogura, and Kazuo Otani, and included âIsland Blueâ composed by Keizo Nakanishi and two songs with lyrics by Miho Nakayama herself (âHide'n'Seekâ and âIsland Blueâ), and two songs with lyrics and music by Miho Nakayama herself (âEndless My First Loveâ and âSplit Loveâ).SIDE-a is a funky uplifting song by CINDY, who composed and produced M1-4 of the five songs on the album, interspersed with the medium ballad âEndless My First Loveâ written by Miho Nakayama herself, which is the last song on SIDE-a, and SIDE b is an urban ballad by Anri and SIDE b is an urban contemporary song written by Keizo Nakanishi and composed by Toshiki Kadomatsu. The album closes with the hit number âYou're My Only Shinin' Starâ written and composed by Toshio Tsunomatsu, in a composition that is typical of the last original analog LP release.
